THINKING FOR ONESELF. PLAY CHESS FOR A REFLEXIVE LEARNING.

Abstract

Chess is a game that can become a teaching tool unconventional, very useful in the classroom. In order to achieve victory in a game of chess player is forced to analyze situations of himself for costing to assess the resulting questions and answers. Chess is considered a deeply intellectual entertainment. It is a powerful educational tool because the computing power of concentration and overtaking are some titles that the practice of chess helps children possess and reinforcement.
Program (AEI) was designed by the University of La Punta (ULP) in order to satisfy the interest for teaching chess in schools in the province of San Luis, Argentina. In the AEI plan involved more than fifty teachers and some assistance coordinators over a hundred schools previously recorded from June to November 2006. Point University offers school workshops of 3 hours and one hour once a week. For the city of San Luis and Villa Mercedes in the city will turn up with EGB2 students only, and in other localities will work with EGB1, EGB2, EGB3 and multi-track schools gathered on more than five thousand students. The promotion program and learning objectives that students are able to create the space for cooperation to develop their activities, contributing their efforts and exchange ideas with other children, to express the interests and likes and dislikes, the discovery of new figures intervention, the use of their resources without personal inhibitions to ask and answer freely, develop their ingenuity and inventiveness, and to state with certainty their own opinions
